An Assessment Of Knowledge, Attitude And Practice Indicators Of The Fifth Phase Of The HIV-AIDS Prevention Project In Four CEMAC Countries

Sub-Saharan Africa, remains the epicenter of HIV/AIDS which is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality among young people and the predominant mode of transmission is through condomless sex. In West and Central Africa, 550,000 people living with HIV are between 15 and 24 years old. With respect to the information pertaining to the HIV/AIDS situation in West and Central Africa, this study aims at assessing the knowledge, attitudes and practices (KAP) of young people and adolescents in the area of their sexual health, including HIV prevention, condom use and behavioral change factors in four CEMAC countries, with Cameroon being inclusive ( Cameroon, Chad, Congo, Central African Republic). In Cameroon it will be carried out in five regions and six arears in Cameroon; Yaoundé, Douala, Far North, West region, Southwest region, Center region excluding Yaoundé in both Urban and Rural setting.
